My Project

Many of these items on this list will help students access the curriculum by giving them means to regulate difficult emotions. Young children need to be taught how to manage their emotions and need help utilizing various tools in order to get them to a regulated state. By working through our emotions, we will then be ready to learn! Play is another important aspect in learning. It is not just academics little ones need- but play skills, too! Playing with a variety of toys with others helps us to build our self- esteem and social skills to build relationships with others. Tack-It, velcro and laminating sheets will help us in using different modalities of speech by using visuals to build our communication skills, use visual schedules to guide us through our day, and display calming strategies. Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to help make my dream come true in providing my students with a safe haven for managing their emotions!
