Regulation & Communication!

Help me give my students materials that support their sensory needs including weighted ball, sensory sock, and no-spill bubbles. Additional storage cubes will decrease visual overstimulation in my room and velcro will allow me to adapt more books.

My Project

I am a speech language pathologist at an elementary school and the bulk of my caseload is preschool students with high support needs. My main goal is to foster joy and support communication. One of my favorite sayings is *regulation before expectation*! My students need to be regulated before I can expect them to engage in activities and benefit from therapy. These materials will help me proactively support regulation and communication throughout the day. 

I am requesting materials that support sensory regulation such as bubbles, light up spinner, sensory sock, storage bins to decrease visual overload in my room, story kits and velcro to adapt books and add sensory components to literacy.

Thank you so much for any support you may provide to this project! These materials will support anywhere from 30-40 students at our building this upcoming school year.
