My Project

We have recently been given a room dedicated to our student’s sensory needs, and there is a need for some newer items to make it a more welcoming and beneficial environment.

With an updated and new dedicated space for sensory exploration and emotional regulation, we can foster a more supportive environment conducive to learning.

Our sensory room will be a dedicated space designed to provide a safe and calming environment where our students can engage in sensory activities tailored to their individual needs. Many students in our special education program experience sensory processing challenges, which can affect their ability to focus, learn, and interact with others. Our room is designed to help students manage their sensory needs through a variety of activities and tools, facilitating emotional regulation and promoting positive learning experiences.

By updating our sensory room with swings, busy boards, spinning chair, texture tiles, sand table and liquid floor tiles we can better attend to their unique needs and enhance their educational experience.
