Help me give my students a refresher on dried out creative activities from the previous year and an opportunity to stay aware on current events in their world through Time for Kids and Storyworks.
Hello! Last year, donors were so generous on supplying my classroom with activities for indoor recess. However, through time playdoh dries out and new items become available. I am politely requesting fresh playdoh for this school year.
I am also requesting a class set of Time for Kids so my students can keep up to date on current events happening in the world and we can have productive discussions on these issues.
Many of my students are not exposed in a child friendly or even at all to what is happening in the world around them, and in order to avoid repeating history we need to learn about it while it is happening from both sides in a friendly open discussion.
Scholastic Storyworks is amazing for covering several language arts standards within one magazine that actually interests students. When kids wants to read the articles, they want to learn and enjoy learning. We would love a subscription to this too.
