A classroom that is inviting is a classroom that students want to learn in.
The computer speakers allow for me to play different videos instead of lectures all the time.
The headphones, floor lamp, clipboards, and scissors are all for student use during group/independent time as kids like a relaxed environment. The punch cards are a great student incentive for my classroom management and the kids love it. Students ask all the time if I have a black/colored Sharpie to help make their work better, so I would like to have those on hand for them. The floating shelves are going to go on the wall for collection of work through turn-in baskets while staying organized. The jigsaw puzzle is something that I would like to put together and use as decoration for kids as it shows propaganda, which they learn about, along with the other poster sets and the map classroom decorations. The laminating pouches are so that I can individually laminate things as ours at school is always down and we do a lot of things in the classroom every year so I would like to laminate them rather than have to re-print every year. The book is for my own professional development so I can be better for my students. The refrigerator is for students who need to keep their food cold as they do not like school lunches and will only eat if they bring something.
All of these things that I am requesting, will allow for the students to have more access to things in my classroom that will help them learn, but also allow me to provide the best teaching that I can for my students.
