Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need books that will enhance their literacy skills. They need books that they can relate to as well as books that are written in Spanish.

Books that are specifically culturally familiar to my students will encourage them to read more.

It will also help them foster more literacy skills that will help them with writing and speaking skills. Having bilingual stories and high-interest stories that relate to them creates an environment where students can more easily see similarities between words and will be able to compare and learn sentence structure. As a result, students will be able to use their newfound skills to read, write, and speak English
