My Project

Romeo and Juliet has been a common text for years with freshmen in high school. Many students identify with its teenage romance and fiery attitudes - the drama is real! I want to secure a graphic form of this text to make its complex text more accessible for my amazing students.

My students love to story packed with drama - Romeo and Juliet, the graphic novel, combine Shakespeare's artful language with graphics that show the timeliness of the Romeo and Juliet story.

I can see my students invest in the misunderstandings, the poor decision making, and the passion that defies all sense and leave with a better understanding of the teenage love story trope.
