My Project

My students are so dedicated and passionate! They are the reason I wake up and go to work every day. We deal with the same issue at the start of every school year and that is that our supplies were severely depleted from the year before. To ensure they get back into the year and achieve success in band, they will need to have reeds waiting for them to use. My percussionists also need cases for snare drums for when we travel for competitions and performances outside of our building.

My trumpet section is often asked to play with muted, in pieces of higher level literature.

I usually have to ask them to put their hand over their bells or play into the stand as we don’t have proper mutes. This will allow them to do justice to the pieces and composers that we are performing!
