My Project

My classroom is organized chaos. We are always having fun while we are learning! Each day I encounter students that barely have the basic necessities, much less the materials they need for school.

Our school has a high poverty rate, with over half of our student population receiving free or reduced-price lunches.

For many students in our area, school is where they experience many "firsts" or new things. Some students have never even traveled more than 30 minutes from home. It is incredible how they can accomplish so much with so little.

Our students need basic supplies such as pencils and sticky notes, but we want to be environmentally cautious too. Almost all of the materials requested are recycled or can help us recycle projects into artwork.
