My Project

Over the past few months, we have begun to involve our youngest learners in community service projects. Most recently, our learners have been collaborating with fellow classrooms where they are exploring our community and how to keep it clean and green. We would like to maintain the momentum by raising awareness about recycling.

I would like to use the iPad in our classroom research by making technology available for students to look up information and create signs, social stories, and books for our classroom and community.

I intend to use the case and screen protector to ensure the tech stays protected from our busy hands and regular use. I intend to engage students using the iPad to learn more about how to sort our garbage, reduce, reuse, and recycle. I plan to involve community members to raise awareness by providing them with signs and books designed by our students. It is my hope that the materials created will be used for a long time to inform our students and community members about the importance of recycling and how their involvement will help maintain a clean and healthy community.

I hope to empower our students and community members by educating and involving them as we explore our role in recycling. We are VERY excited to get out there and and share what we learn and create!
