My Students

Do you remember technology from when you were young? My first technology memory is floppy disks in typing class!

My students live in a low income neighborhood and attend a low income school.

They come from diverse backgrounds and meet many challenges that come with poverty. However, the administration and teachers in the school are dedicated and determined to provide a quality education to all students. My students are second graders who use a Smart board in their daily lessons.

My Project

The camcorder would add another layer of technology used in the classroom. We will be able to video tape our community meetings and project presentations. The students will be able to analyze their own thinking and become more independent thinkers.

The students will learn to use more technology, which is of extreme importance for any student who wishes to grow up and enter the ever-changing world of technology and the globally connected work force.
