Help me give my students graphic novels book sets to engage in independent book clubs during "lunch bunch" meetings.

My Project

As a new teacher of reading, it has quickly come to my attention, that apprehensive readers flock to graphic novels. I have fought the temptation to include graphic novels in my classroom library until I started working in a rural district where I noticed that struggling readers preferred graphic novels. Your donation will allow me to supply graphic novels to our newly formed "lunch bunch" book clubs. Working in a economically challenged rural district, I do not have money in my budget to purchase new books for my students.

Your donation will provide graphic novels so we can start book discussions and book clubs during our "lunch bunch" interactions.

The Jolly Rancher treats will be shared as something sweet to enjoy, as the students explain how "sweet" it was to read their novels. (I chose Jolly Ranchers, as they seem to be the most economical treat to purchase.)

I cannot thank you enough for considering donating to this project. As you know, reading is power. Please consider changing the lives of my fifth and sixth graders by donating to place a new book in the hands of each of my students.
