My Students

I work in a low economic school district that is about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh. The community is amazing, and I have no words to describe just how great the students are. They come to school wanting to learn! I love my job, and I want to always provide the best possible education to each and every student! I am consistently looking for new and engaging activities to meet the needs of all my students. Please consider helping any way you can. Thank you.

My Project

My students and the other four classes who share the recess period, will use the variety of playground equipment to play! Yes, I said play! Students need to learn lessons that don't always occur in the classroom but rather from playing! By teaching them to play games during they learn how to be a good sport, take turns, cooperate. Sometimes if I'm lucky I can use these ideas in the classroom and they might write about them or solve math problems, which are related. But with these materials I want them to PLAY and be KIDS!

Your donation will give my students the opportunity to get outside and learn many valuable skills through play.

Using the recess set including soccer balls, jump ropes, basketballs, bases, etc. they will be shown how to play many of the games that we played as children as well as make up their own.
