My Students

The PreK-4 Wildcats are eager and ready to learn. For most, this will be their first time in a school building ever! I really want to cultivate a safe and efficient classroom that centers around our students curiosity and imagination! Our students enjoy centers time where they are able to engage in play with materials. Also, as pictured, they love a great dance party!

My Project

This school year will be the first for many entering Pre-K 4. Many have been at home working virtually in PreK 3 or have not been exposed to a learning environment outside of a daycare program.

The materials being requested are critical to enhancing the experience of centers, read-aloud, journals, morning meetings.

Our classroom is new to the school this year. We need help filling the shelves in our classroom. Students could enjoy the wooden blocks during centers as they engage in building grocery stores, homes, and anything from their imagination. Students will also have opportunities to build with the magnetic tiles and explore how magnets work as they engineer different designs. Over in dramatic play, students could broaden their imagination as they use the dress-up costumes to envision themselves as doctors, police officers, or firefighters.

The books and 'Sierra' the puppet will serve as representation in our class among the curriculum. Our students deserve to be promoted and celebrated throughout the classroom. We are here to promote a diverse classroom. In doing so, I am also requesting a voice amplifier to aid some particular students that have a physical hearing disability. Just as well, we are committed to keeping a safe environment that follows the protocols of COVID-19 guidelines. One way we are staying safe is by wearing masks. Unfortunately, the mask muffles sound and makes it difficult for all students to hear. The amplifier will be very helpful in mitigating the sound barrier in our classroom so all students may be able to hear instruction. In another effort to stay safe, we are requesting seat sacks for every student to store their personal materials at their seat.
