I have the great opportunity to teach 3rd grade this year. While each student comes into the classroom with different backgrounds and life experiences, they come together and work hard with a positive attitude.
My students are Wonderful, Talented, and Super Awesome!
They are fearless and resilient and have a desire to succeed. What I love the most about my students is their eagerness to learn. This and much more can be accomplished as students see and feel like important members of the classroom.
My Project
The use of hands-on manipulatives for both math and science is an integral part of my classroom. By using real-world examples and giving students opportunities to use resources, I am better able to build confidence in their problem-solving skills. As this self-confidence grows, students become more comfortable and are better able to use higher-order thinking skills.
These math and science resources will make a profound impact on their learning and academic growth.
The BluTrack Learning Kit will be used to discuss the science concepts of force and motion. The track system will give students opportunities to learn about and see Newton's Laws of Motion. In 3rd grade, an essential skill we teach and get the kids to master is their multiplication facts. The dice and games are a fun and engaging way students can become proficient at multiplication and division.
