My Students
I have the privilege to support the special education students in 5th grade integrated co-teaching class. Nestled in the bustling community of East Flatbush, my school is humbly in service to neighboring temporary housing shelters, my school truly serves a safe place of love and support for some of Brooklyn's most resilient students.
Many of our students are more experienced in the hardships of adult life than the joys of exploring knowledge and being a child.
We want to empower our students to unlock their true potential in a variety of ways, that works best to the individual student.
With the unknown facing our students daily, I know that our school provides stability in the lives of our students'. Our red doors symbolize the heart of a school where they know they'll be loved, cared for, and taught to be exceptional scholars.

The future graduating class of 2028 are never scared to make mistakes and try new things!
Our 5th grade students aren't all equipped with reliable laptops/tablets. This is negatively impacting the engagement and completion of assignments for our students. Transitioning from elementary to middle school this learning and engagement is CRUCIAL to ensure life long success and college readiness.
Through the use of technology, they will have to opportunity to access a plethora of learning sights and activities, where they can practice reading, make videos to show what they have learned, and watch others as they build their command of the English language and foster comprehension and take them to new heights.
