My Students

My 2nd grade innovators are about to embark on a stellar year of creativity, exploration and a passion for learning. My scholars are an enthusiastic group of 7 and 8 year old that are ready to ignite their futures through kinesthetic learning. Through my school's curriculum, I will be taking my learners on a journey through the wonderment of the human body, the development of communities and a variety of big kid topics. I would love to equip my class with supplies to help me engage them and captivate their learning styles. From Bangladesh to Trinidad, my scholars are from very diverse backgrounds. The community in which I serve is on the lower socioeconomical end. We are a Title 1 funded school, so it is very challenging to provide our children with exposure to opportunities that many take for granted. It is my wish to provide them with energetic ways to learn and opportunities to explore beyond their community.

My Project

As we embark on a unprecedented school year, I would love to prepare my scholars with some materials that will help all of us work from home. One thing I learned from the past few months, is that my scholars need access to materials that help facilitate their learning. Providing them with a kit that includes a dry erase board, an eraser and a marker, they will be able to write responses, engage in game like learning experiences and model a variety of math equations.

Being equip with materials to help facilitate our learning is abundantly important.

I would also like to ensure that I have a supplies, like a chair and table to use while teaching online. I will be able to have a place to store my materials and house my dry erase board. This will help me showcase examples of things being taught.

Along with the kit, it would be wonderful to provide each of my scholars with a reusable mask for when they need to venture outdoors.
