Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love writing and I want to impart that love to my second graders. Part of my yearly tradition is to set a goal, to write more than the previous school year. In order to help me achieve this goal, it will be nice for my little ones to have age-appropriate composition books where we can easily see how our goal is coming along.

My students also need to learn how to identify the main idea and details which is why I've requested the highlighters.

In addition to the highlighters, I am asking for play-dough and dry erase markers, which will both come in handy during our phonemic awareness lessons. The pencil cases will be a bonus, a place for them to store their tools of the trade. And knowing children the way I do, I know that these items will bring them great excitement.
