My Students

I am so lucky to teach a special education classroom full of unique individuals who are all loving and eager to learn. My students are in kindergarten through third grade, and each one of them has their own educational learning goals. I teach at a Title I school in a small east Texas town. Most of my students come from a high poverty area where resources are stretched thin. I am a member of ATPE, and I absolutely love ATPE!

My Project

I am in need of several different items for our classroom. An Amazon gift card will allow me to purchase a variety of learning tools. We are in need of flexible seating, which allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. We are also in need of several pairs of headphones. There is several math manipulatives that we are needing too.

All of these items will positively affect my students work and demeanor and I hope that these items will help us grow even more!
