My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning but they have different learning styles. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My students need school supplies because many are from low-income family background who may not be able to afford them.

My Project

The alcohol wipes, gloves, and hand sanitizers will keep my students and the adults working with them safe in the classroom since NYC is adopting a blended learning model for September. My students will also have their own set of supplies to minimize sharing and close contact to prevent the spread of any virus. Therefore, it is important that they each have their own set of pencils, erasers, and folders. Adults with the students will be using the sharpie markers to clearly label all students' supplies. The paper purchased will be used to print out graphic organizers, worksheets, and stories for them inside the classroom. I will also print out additional resources to send home if students opt for fully remote learning later in the school year. The post-it note easel with whiteboard and chart paper will help me with small group and individual learning.
