Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It has been nearly a year since the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly ended physical schooling for my students. As a teacher, I scrambled trying to come up with effective strategies to continue delivering new information to my students. Though I am unable to physically be with my students, learning continues through many available online programs and applications.

Please help me by providing a Hand2Mind Versa Tiles Literacy Classroom set for my students.

This will help my students to become avid readers.

Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my school strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.

My group consists of 22 amazing kindergarten and first grade students.

These students are just beginning their first experience with school in distance learning mode, with many years ahead of them. They are excited and eager to learn. I am a strong believer that "If you involve students in many different activities and experiences, eventually they will find something that they love and excel."

My Project

The literacy materials that I am requesting for my students will be used by the students, so that they may get a jump start on their literacy skills. The Versa Tiles will aide the students in becoming avid readers.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' literacy competency in a fun, engaging, and authentic way.

My students will have the opportunity to work on their literacy skills independently and begin to see themselves authentic readers. They will use these materials to help them becoming life-long readers. I truly need your support to make this a reality.
