Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a listening center allows children to work independently and being capable to retell stories, increase the sense of community and support students oral expression. Children can listen to books read aloud and learn new vocabulary in a very amusing way, specially 4 years old.

By listening stories, songs and rhymes my prek pals can develop their phonological awareness and their listening skills and improve their English gains specially the students who have English as a secondary language.

This is the main reason why I consider the listening center will be a great and necessary addition to my classroom.
