My Students

My students are eager learners who are glad to be back in school, after their remote learning experiences last year. They are a culturally diverse group of learners who set high goals for themselves, track their goals and celebrate their successes. They always keep a growth mindset and their belief in the Power of Yet helps them to overcome their struggles.

They are Richmondtown Eagles, who practice leadership skills by inspiring their classmates and helping their community.

My Project

I am asking for a class set of Tales of A Fourth Grade Nothing, by Judy Blume. I will be using this book within a literature unit of study. They will be using the book in several ways. I will be reading aloud from the book, asking students to read together in literature circles and providing opportunities for students to enjoy the book independently. Through my instruction I will be teaching and modeling to students how great readers think while they read, so that you can comprehend to the best of their ability. Most importantly, through the sharing of this book as a class, I hope to foster a love of reading in my students.
