Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 3rd in a low-income neighborhood in the heart of Philadelphia. My classroom this year will have 25 enthusiastic learners, each is on a different learning level and I need to think of creative ways to engage them, keep them focused, and build the foundation to make them life long learners.

Despite the adversity of the harsh area that surrounds our school and many of their homes, I am in constant awe of the resilience that they show.

They come to school wanting to learn and shouldn't let something small like not having a pencil keep them from having their best day.

Our classroom is a safe place where all of my students are encouraged to be themselves and have fun while learning. Because of this, they look forward to coming to school every day.

My Project

The resource books will help me reinforce what I am teaching the students throughout the day and help them develop the skills that they will need to thrive on the PSSA's this year.

The microphone will help save me voice!

It's challenging to talk over all of the students at once! My throat is sore from the first day of school until weeks after school has ended for the summer.

And the lollipops will help me provide some motivation to keep our lessons on course, having smooth transitions, and over all productive days in our classroom. Thank you as always for your support.
