Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a male teacher of color who went through our Public School System in NYC, I understand my students' daily financial and academic challenges. I love that my students are always up for learning, they are prepared each day when they show up at the door, never give up, and thrive to be flexible real-life problem solvers. The materials requested in my project is going to be used to better equipped my classroom as a safe learning space for Math and Science.

This year, as a math and science teacher, my two classes will engage in a series of life science Project based lessons with classroom pet (Our Betta Fish, Amy and Britney).

To start with that, we need a sizeable tank and filters to house them along with a utility cart. To maintain a clean environment and proper health protocol, we include disinfectants and soap dispenser. Lastly, we include an Echo Dot as a source of information as well as an assistant to some of the smartplugs that are already in place in our classroom.
