My Project

I love teaching reading. I love how excited the students get knowing that they are opening new doors to different worlds everytime they learn a new word. Reading is hard! We are not born with the inate skills to just learn to read like we are to speak. Reading is something we need to practice everyday to improve in word recognition, fluency, and phonological awareness.

I plan on using these tools during my reading small groups.

Small group reading instruction provides meaningful literacy experiences. These resources will help me provide rich tasks for my students that will help promote a deep understanding in reading.
