Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 24 students in my 5th grade class have a special love for reading. With the variety of reading levels that my students are on, I find it essential to provide them with books they will not only enjoy, but will also be able to understand. Books in this project range from graphic novels to books about the Lunar New Year. My goal is to incorporate books that they are interested in in order to teach my students about different cultures around the world. As the Lunar New Year is approaching, the books in this project allow me to do that.

The books in this project were hand picked by students themselves-- books they are excited about!

The materials in this project will ensure that my students are becoming better readers as well as learn about different cultures. The different levels and styles of books in this project will allow students to access books on their levels and strengthen their reading skills.
