My Students

I teach six amazing children with autism. Each day they make me laugh with their questions and comments. They make me understand how smart they are and how much potential each one of them has. My students love to learn and they love engaging with new motivating materials.

My students are determined to overcome challenges, to achieve things others thought impossible, and they are determined to become more independent each day.

My students deserve new supplies and advanced technology to help them further achieve and not only reach but surpass their goals.

My Project

My students need an iPad mini, a Kindle, cases and covers, a document camera, markers, books, a butterfly garden, dry erasers, scissors, alphabet stamps, headphones for their iPads, an Osmo gaming center and a new writing center! The Osmo gaming center along with the new iPad will be so valuable to my students' improving their social skills. The game center will allow students to play together on the iPad, taking turns and cheering each other on! The document camera will assist us across subject areas to allow me to show student work or my own examples from a sheet of paper right onto the smart board. The writing center along with the markers and scissors will encourage my students to keep writing and continue to try their hardest. The headphones will allow my students to utilize iPads independently without distracting other learners.

My students love to learn, and they need to be challenged and engaged daily in order to continue to grow and succeed as learners in my classroom.
