My Students

The students in our school district are from a very poverty stricken area. They come from very low-income homes, with difficult backgrounds. Many students in our area are being raised by other family members, or are in loving foster homes. This is one of the lowest income districts in our area. They do come to school ready to learn, and excited to be in our classroom with friends each day!

Our district strives for excellence in our students, by doing this we are working on instilling the 7 habits of a healthy student in them.

They are learning how to be the leader in themselves, and they are doing so well with it.

My Project

Kindergarten is one of the most important years in education. It's their first exposure to learning for many, and it's building the foundation of their education. I'm looking to add as many resources as possible to help my students stay engaged and focused during workstation time!

This is my first year in Kindergarten and as our school year has started I'm finding that my students need more resources than I am able to provide with what I have.

They love to have their hands on learning. The items I've selected are learning tools that I feel they would enjoy and get plenty of enrichment from!
