My Students

Have you ever wanted to read a book and not had one to read?

My students are of mixed abilities.

They are in 4th grade in a public school in Queens. They attend a Title I school. My students are eager to learn new things. They come from many different countries and English is not always their first language. My class is homogeneously mixed.

My Project

With these books my students will have more of a selection of books to choose from in our leveled classroom library. My students read leveled books everyday during reading workshop and at home every night. Each student gets to select their own books at their level to read. By having more variety it helps to inspire reading.

My goal as an educator is to help to create life long readers.

Reading is an essential skill for creating successful adults and students. These books will help my students have a variety of books to read and choose from when reading daily.
