Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

March was a sad month. We did not have the opportunity to say goodbye or to explain to my children how or why we would have to see each other and work through a computer. Most of my children have great difficulty reading, speaking with the correct sounds, and using complete sentences.

This project will provide FUN READING MATERIAL and a DOC CAMERA, so I can better assist my students with their remote learning experiences.

My Project

My children and I meet to work every day during the week. We work in groups or individually. Unfortunately, most of the materials used to work phonemic awareness and reading remained in the classroom. Therefore, I have to constantly create and prepare materials to work on reading, comprehension and language through google classroom and google meet. With the help of their parents, my children try to practice with the materials created but we need specific and fun materials to engage all the children on this distance-learning journey and help them and their parents improve reading and comprehension performance in children.

My students and I will forever appreciate your help and support.

Once we return to school, all the speech and language students, as well as the special education department in the school, will benefit immensely by this reading program and camera.
