This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are creative, energetic, cooperative, spontaneous, determined, and resourceful... to say the least! They are the reason why I enjoy being an educator. Despite their disadvantages due to financial and social hardships in their families, they come to school every day, ready to learn. Our classroom is our home away from home and we are family. If you walked into our reading/writing block, you would see students working collaboratively, independently, and with me getting some TLC (our teacher-led center)!
In my class, I strive to use technology, but the resources are very limited.
With these tablets, I will be able to implement and use many educational apps and resources that are available online to supplement the instructional material provided by my district. These tablets will be used during small group instruction, in which I differentiate the instruction for my students. My students love playing games like Kahoot and quizizz. On these programs, the educator turn education into a fun game. What's a better way to keep students motivated and engaged than playing games? With these Fire tablets, the educational possibilities are endless.
