My Project

The array of texts in my classroom library is a great way to broaden a student's perspectives and ideas. I aim to have a classroom library that contain books for multiple reading abilities, student interests, and reflect diverse and inclusive texts. My goal through my library is to encourage my students to be confident and independent readers. All too often, we want students to read but it's hard for students to do so when the books in the library do not reflect their lives. My goal is to have a library for every learner, every race, every religion, books that shine a light on gender identity, diverse families, and so much more!
