My Project

I always try to create an environment that is warm and inviting for my students. My students are the most amazing individuals and they deserve to have the best classroom for their learning. I am looking at getting different lighting in the classroom as they have mentioned many times how they liked when the Christmas lights were up. I want to get the strips to highlight around the whiteboards. The floor lamps are because I have students who get bothered by the harsh lights on the ceiling. The lights are not the type that I can place covers on and we can not hang anything from the ceiling, hence the floor lights.

Students need comfortable environments and accessible materials to be able to do their best learning.

I do daily writing workshops in the classroom and the students need to start learning how to write a biography report. I checked out the school library and the biography books that we have are too advanced for my students to do their best work with. I want them to focus on the material and not on there being too many words that stress them. The watercolor pencils are for the students to create artwork of the person they are researching.
