This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of fun loving kids who want to learn! My school is located in the heart of Washington Heights. Many of my students are English Language Learners and have limited exposure to English at home so as their teacher it is my responsibility to expose them to as much as possible. My school has limited resources and we work hard to provide as much for our students as possible.

This is what my school is all about. We try to give our students all of the knowledge we can, however we can, so that they are able to continue and grow into amazing young people who will change the world.

My Project

The environment is a very important part of our world and the more our students' know the more our students will be able to protect it. This project will help supplement the reading that the students do in class. The students will be reading the book, "Hoot" and about how important it is to protect our environment. By provided engaging supplemental materials for my students, they will be able to learn more about what is happening and how important it is to help protect the environment.

"The more that you read the more things you will know, the more that you learn the more places you'll go".

-Dr. Seuss. This book will give my students the opportunity read and learn about the environment. Many of my students do not have a love for reading however will engaging books I hope to help build that love and motivate them to help do some good in the world.
