Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help to broaden our knowledge of the world around us. We could really use nonfiction books to extend our classroom library. While fiction books take us to places within our imaginations, nonfiction books would help expose us to people and cultures we hope to experience one day.

My fourth grade students are part of a public charter network in southeast Texas.

They come from an under served community but they are eager to learn. They love to read and create their own stories. They are dedicated to getting to and through college.

My Project

The nonfiction books in this project will help expose my students to subjects they would not have access to otherwise. They love to read and while our classroom library has a good selection of fiction books, we have few quality nonfiction books. Having these books will not only help broaden my students' horizons but they will also aid in improving their reading comprehensions skills.

By donating to our classroom library, you will help my students increase their love of learning.

You will also get them so much closer to reaching their goal of being college ready.
