My students need 31 copies of "Maus". We will be using this text as an alternative to a novel to help differentiate instruction in our highly diverse classroom!

Help Mrs. Weaver

Our school is low SES and high Special Ed. This text will help to reach all students. We can teach them about the Holocaust while concentrating on symbolism and point of view.

We face a financial crisis at our school. We are extremely low on supplies. All we really want is one class set for all of the classes to share. We are trying desperately to get off the DINA list, and we think exposure to alternative texts will help get students motivated to learn.

We need one class set of Maus. This would be 31 copies; 30 for the students and one for me. Each day during the unit six different students will read from the same book. We are trying to expand their horizons while still being fiscally responsible.

Your help will make it possible for my students to read an alternative text, one that they may never experience anywhere else. They will get exposure to literature, art and history all in the same text.
