Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are eager learners! They are enthusiastic. They are working on reading and improving their skills. We have worked really hard to meet all of the students at their level.

My students are extra special because they are eager to learn how to read.

My Project

My students need the materials in order to be taught using the latest reading research. Research in the science of reading has taught me strategies for the most effective reading instruction. Unfortunately, our current curriculum does not align with the science of reading research. The goal of these new reading materials and resources is to develop fluent readers.

I am trying to develop reading superheroes and Secret Stories materials, magnifying glasses, and Teachers Pay Teachers resources will help me achieve that by engaging the students in phonics!

Secret stories will get students engaged using all learning modalities. Students will love using magnifying glasses in order to be detectives and find the secret patterns to help them unlock words. My students will have fun as they learn to crack the code to reading. Students will benefit from these materials and resources by being able to decode words, which will help my intervention students make progress in reading.
