My Students

My students are life long learners with disabilities. My students require Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to help them with academics, behaviors, and social/emotional support. Each student is working toward a reading goal in order to help bridge the gap between them and their peers.

My students need reading strategies in order for them to increase their reading levels and skills.

Students cannot wait to work with the interventionists in their individual groups. These interventionists needs support to help make their lessons engaging and meaningful for each individual student and their needs.

My Project

I have been using this book to be more intentional when making and planning my individual reading group lessons. Having this book in the hands of the interventionists in my building will help all reading groups become more intentional with learning.

This book has given me many strategies to help the students as well as giving me the exact idea of where my students need support in order to grow as a reader.

I am planning my professional development for the school year around implementing the strategies in this book. I am excited to show my students progress from last school year and how this book can help many other students in the building through professional development.
