Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school's population is very diverse with a large group of English Language learners. I have 5 different languages spoken at home this year in my class. This year my class needs support in literacy and math.

My students have a love for learning and are enthusiastic students.

We love coming to school and being a part of a team.

This year my students will develop a love for reading and the tools to be successful as a third grader.

My Project

With each issue, my students will learn all about science or social studies themes that's relevant to what they are learning in class. They build nonfiction-reading skills by reading a magazine style text. As a bonus Scholastic News includes online resources like digital issues, and learning videos. These will help my students interact with the text in a 21st century way.

Students will get to interact with an engaging non-fiction text every week.

Scholastic News are engaging because they are in color with real to life pictures. Students look forward to reading these magazines every week. Thank you for supporting my students.
