Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a 4th grade inclusion class full of students from humble beginnings. Many of my students have learning disabilites , and for most, English is their second language. Most of them currently read below grade level. They often become disengaged in reading.

The Scholastic StoryWorks issues provide high interest texts which my students need.

The images along with text to speech feature will encourage and allow my students to become more interested in reading. This will not only help them with reading but the reading will allow them to learning and connect with many issues outside of their daily lives
