This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so lucky to be working with students in Kinder, 1st grade, and 2nd grade this year! These are some of the most amazing kids that you could imagine. I am helping foster a love of reading and strengthening their foundational reading skills. This year, we have been double teaming to satisfy all of our students catch up from the years that covid made their learning experience a little different. They will be small guided reading level groups that will specifically hit the skills each of these kids is missing. The magnetic letter kits, sight word magnets, and other materials will be used for small group reading instruction.

Reading unlocks everything else!

Next school year, I will continue working with these students and 3rd grade.
