Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create a classroom environment that allows my students to engage in a meaningful learning experience.

I am preparing to begin my 6th year as a Bilingual (Albanian) speech-language pathologist servicing students in public NY schools, where my caseload consists of African American, Latino, Bengali and bilingual students from 6th through 8th grade.

I just discovered Donors Choose and I am so excited for my students. Through your support, I will be able to replenish my classroom with essential BOOKS….BOOKS and MORE BOOKS. All my students read below grade level, and having a rich library is essential for their overall growth.

We also need supplies like the colored pencils, book bins, and file folders to start the school year. These supplies will be putting my students at ease because many of them are unable to afford them.
