My Students

We are a group of fourth-grade students who have a love of reading. We love reading graphic novels, nonfiction books, and realistic fiction books just to name a few. We read at a variety of levels and our class library has to satisfy the needs of 90 learners. In order to grow as readers, we need more books. After all, the reading volume is directly related to reading level growth. Reading books that are engaging and interesting only fuels our desire to read more! However, our classroom library is filled with old, worn books that do not represent us. Please help us create a dream library that will help us grow as life long readers.

My Project

3 classes, 90 students and the one book they all want. Imagine wanting something and having to wait in a line with 89 people in front of you. This is the problem my students face daily. According to my students, they love that our class library has so many books but they hate that there is only one copy of the book they have their heart set on. Students wait up to a month to have a book they are excited to read in their hands, but in the meantime, they read without enthusiasm or they simply do not read. This is affecting student reading levels and more importantly their love of reading. That is where you come in. This project will allow me to buy multiple copies of books that kids desire to read. Everyone has that book that sticks with them and makes them love reading. Help my students find this book faster by supporting this project.
