Reading Rocks! Classroom Library Books and Organization for 3rd Graders

Help me give my students access to appealing grade level reading materials that will get them excited about becoming better readers! These materials will be part of the classroom library for all students in my class to enjoy!

My Project

Literacy is ESSENTIAL for all students in my classroom, and access to engaging and fun reading materials is one of the keys to encouraging students to pick up a book and read!

I hope to build a classroom library my 3rd-grade students will enjoy throughout the school year.

Each day, time is dedicated to allowing students time to read what they are most interested in. With a mix of fiction and nonfiction texts picture books, graphic novels, and chapter books, there will be a wide selection for students of all backgrounds and ability levels to choose from. When students can identify a type of text, genre, or character they can relate to and enjoy, they are more likely to spend time reading, growing both their fluency and their love for reading.
