My Students

The vast majority of the students I serve come from poverty-stricken households. Despite their economic challenges, they are resilient and truly desire success. Given the new circumstances that we are all facing due to the pandemic, I want to ensure that my students have all of the necessary school supplies to ensure that we keep our classroom environment safe and positive.

My Project

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase resources to use with my fourth graders. It is often hard and expensive for low income schools to purchase materials that support the Texas STAAR test. As a result, I will use this gift card to obtain resources that support the test and our curriculum standards. The folders and paper will be used during daily instruction. The pocket charts and clothespins will hold student work and the diffuser will help to keep the air in our room fresh, especially because our classroom is in an older building!
