My Students

I work in a school with many students who receive free breakfast and lunch. These students families struggle to provide all they need for supplies and so I do my best to provide for them in order to help each child have the tools to succeed. I am a teacher of a special education classroom with 13 students who struggle to meet grade level expectations. It is difficult for these students to learn in a typical structured classroom environment. It is my intention to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where students can select the seating that helps them focus and learn best.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will benefit their Reading Rescue lessons in a variety of ways. Reading Rescue is a daily, 30 minute literacy intervention for elementary students. The laminating machine, sheet protectors and mini whiteboard erasers will enable my students and I to get the most out of the materials we use every day.

By donating to our project, you will enhance and encourage their academic achievement.

The new supplies will be motivating and uplifting for my students and will reflect positively on their outlook towards reading. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long readers!
