My students need reading games to help reinforce reading and phonics skills taught. Reading and Phonics centers will provide my kids with a chance to practice skills and have fun. These games are engaging and educational.

My Students

I am one of the luckiest teachers around because I have an amazing class. My students are so full of life, wonder, kindness, respect, and a quest for knowledge.

I call my students my kids because they are that important to me!

I want to give them the best start I possible can. My kids come from many different economic backgrounds. We are a Title I school with 76% of students on free or reduced-price lunch. Many students come from poverty stricken-homes. Often their parents work more than one job and/or have difficult work hours, making homework and reading times hard to schedule. My kids need different ways to learn while at school.

Reading is something that many of my kids struggle with. My kids work hard, but are still coming up short during assessment times.

My Project

Reading and phonics skills are so important. Second graders are working hard to become better readers. My kids will use the Reading Comprehension Games and the Phonics Instant Learning Centers to reinforce skills taught during whole class instruction.

Not all kids learn the same way or even on the same day.

These centers will allow students to learn and review skills that have been taught. The centers will give my kids another chance to learn an important skill.

Students will be able to work in small groups. Many students need small group instruction to comprehend a new skill This will allow me to work with a student or small group while other students are engaged in the centers.
