This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 5th grade classroom, organization is key to helping students thrive. As young learners build independence, it’s essential that they have the tools and systems in place to manage materials, track progress, and feel confident in their learning journey. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your support in funding organization bins for our reading units and dividers for student binders. Each of our reading units includes mentor texts, discussion guides, vocabulary cards, and student handouts. Having sturdy bins dedicated to each unit will help keep materials together, accessible, and ready for use throughout the year. Not only will this reduce clutter, but it will also make transitions smoother and maximize valuable instructional time. In addition, providing binder dividers for students will support their ability to stay on top of assignments and maintain organized notes, reading logs, and writing drafts. For many students, learning to manage materials is a big step toward academic independence—and these dividers give them a clear structure to build those habits.
