Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am very proud to say that my students are very special. Most of them are primarily Title I recipients. Although they face social, emotional, and economic challenges, my students are hard workers and eager learners. Many of them understand that education is the key to have a better future. As a result, every day they come to my class eager to learn. They are responsible, goal oriented, and enthusiastic learners who seem to enjoy school. I am very proud to be working with a group like them.

My Project

These reading books will make a difference in my student's learning because it will provide them the opportunity to learn new vocabulary, to practice their reading skills, to analyze, to create projects that will show their creativity and to enjoy the reading. These books are captivating and I am confident that my students will be eager to read them. I am planning on having them analyze the characters, the themes, the conflicts and to make the story relevant to their own experiences, if possible. As they read them, my students will create projects to show their understanding and their creativity.
